![]() ![]() ![]() I would give it a try if you liked the first one and I can see its the ‘development of the characters’ book in the series but it didn't leave me needing to read Bloodwitch instantly. ![]() Maybe it's the writing style or my dyslexia but I had to read it twice to understand and really like it. But I was struggling to understand and follow it. I also came up with the same problem as the first book…. The plot is a bit less predictable than the first one, but seems to drag even with the fast pace. At night, the temple was too dark to see the blood dripping from his arms, pooling on the granite flagstones. I reread the first one and actually really liked it this time so much that I read the second in the series (this one) straight away! The story was a good one that gripped me at parts and I enjoyed reading. Excerpt from Windwitch by Susan Dennard Merik swiveled his wrists slowly. However I was not too impressed with the first one so left it for a while until my friend asked if I had read the second one…. I was not expecting anything special from this book series when I read the first one, but I liked the story idea and concept of threadwitchs, truthwitchs and all the other powers there are. ![]()
